2027: Teslim Folarin expresses confidence in reclaiming Oyo for APC

Teslim Folarin, a former senate leader, says the All Progressives Congress (APC) will reclaim Oyo state in 2027, insisting the party’s growing support has made victory inevitable.

Speaking on Tuesday in Ibadan, the state capital, Folarin, Oyo ambassador for the renewed hope, said the APC in the state is now united and repositioned to take over the state government and ensure the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

He made the remarks at the Ibadan north federal constituency during the grand finale of the 14-federal-constituency tour organised by the renewed hope ambassadors.

“Reclaiming Oyo state is no longer in doubt,” Folarin said.

“Our target is to boost APC’s fortunes by a greater percentage, which will require a lot of advocacy, particularly at the grassroots, which we are doing currently.

“The crowd at today’s gathering clearly shows that things are getting better.

“It shows that people are very interested in the APC and President Tinubu’s administration. If we go to the polls from now, we will win Oyo state with a landslide victory.”

Afeez Bolaji, secretary of the APC renewed hope team in Oyo, said party members had resolved to work together out of love for the president.

“Every member has put aside individual ambition for now and decided to work together as a team,” he said.

Sharafadeen Alli, senator representing Oyo south, said the reception across the 14 federal constituencies showed the people’s readiness for an APC government in the state.

He said the turnout also reflected the people’s desire for the president to secure a second term.

“We have closed our ranks and are now working as one,” Alli added.

“We will ensure that APC rules across all elective positions at the federal, state and local government levels.”
