3 Months after Losing Gov. Election, Kunle Akinlade’s Father Loses Kingship Race

Going by events that have played out around former governorship candidate in Ogun state in the recently held general elections, Honorable Abdukadir Adekunle Akinlade, it is safe to say the former Special Adviser to out-going governor of Ogun state has not experienced best of times in recent times. Akinlade, the candidate of APM in the governorship contest, despite having the backing of the out-going governor, Ibikunle Amosun still couldn’t realize his dream as he lost the contest to Dapo Abiodun of APC.
It is in the same vein, Akinlade’s father; Prince Mukaila has also recently had his dream of becoming a traditional ruler dashed. Prince Mukaila had signified interest to occupy the vacant traditional stool in Ipokia, Ogun state, but lost out in the contest. A United States of America based entertainment promoter who sit atop Afro Heritage Entertainment, Prince Sola Olaniyi clinched the coveted seat.
Meanwhile, going by how Honorable Akinlade’s godfather, Amosun defiled all protocols in attempt to see his anointed candidate become the governor, many who had thought Amosun would ensure his godson’s biological father win the contest are shocked the same fate that befell Honorable Akinlade at the polls three months back was the same suffered by his father. However, while it was alleged Amosun tried to work in the favor of Prince Mukaila, he was said to have met his match in the kingmakers who were said to resisted all external influences to ensure the Obaship competition was not manipulated in favor of any of the aspirants as they made sure appropriate rules were observed for a winner to emerge. Sources also revealed the fact that Prince Mukaila was deficient in education and exposure contributed to factors that worked against him.
