Senator Florence Ita- Giwa is indeed a woman of many parts. With her age filled with great experiences and accomplishments, it’s without a doubt that this woman has been there, seen and conquered.

The wedding ceremony of her daughter, Koko, as well as her 70th birthday ceremony is still very fresh in the memories of many due to the glamour and panache rolled into one to make these events carnival-like. Mama Bakassi, as the former Special Adviser to the former President Olusegun Obasanjo is called; some days back added another year to hit 72. She did not roll out drums to celebrate like she did when she was 70; rather she opted for a low key celebration.

With her looks that suggests nothing close to her age and dressing styles that make her smart and beautiful, Florence played host to her good friends, associates and well-wishers who swarmed her Banana Island home, Lagos.
