Ilesha Residents Praise Princess Toyin Kolade Over Massive Support For Less Privileged

Scores of widows, students and other residents of the ancient town of Ilesha, Osun State have applauded Lagos based socialite and philanthropist, Amb. Dr. Princess Toyin Kolade over her various programs and activities targeted at making life more comfortable for the less privileged.
During the annual remembrance program organised in memory of her late parents in Ilesha, many beneficiaries of her numerous charity initiatives took turns to express gratitude to the foremost chief in Yorubaland, commending her for identifying with the poor masses through several life impacting interventions.
The speakers praised Amb. Dr. Princess Kolade, the Iyalaje Oodua to the Ooni of Ife, who had organized the annual event at the stadium road area of the ancient town where she offered prayers at the tomb of her late father and mother.
Following the prayers, other life impacting activities including a medical outreach featuring free health checks and counseling were organized for many attendees.
Huge bundles of food items and gifts and various cash sum were also shared at the event which was followed up with social activities like dancing competitions and others to loud applause of the audience.
Food items distributed included yam, semovita, cooking oil, spaghetti, bags of rice, noodles, garri, beans , sugar salt and others.
Expressing deep appreciation, one of the beneficiaries, a widow, Mama Margareth Ajayi thanked God Almighty profusely for Iyalaje and her life devoted to putting smiles on faces of the poor and less privileged. “I am one of the widows who have received financial support today and I am so delighted.”
Another widow, Madam Anike said Iyalaje has through the annual program touched lives positively. She expressed happiness and enthusiasm and urged others with financial capacity to remember the poor like Princess Kolade.
Many who participated In the dancing competition received the sum of 20,000 each including an elated Oluwatosin adeola who emerged overall winner.
Princess Toyin Kolade was in high spirit as the event lasted with many eminent personalities and dignitaries in attendance including Hon Idris Aregbe, a Lagos APC Youth chieftain, traditional rulers and chiefs from Nigeria and overseas.
The program was anchored by Idris Iwalewa Coker, the convener of Go Culture, a multi cultural promotional organization in Nigeria.
