Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has extended her heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umaru Zulum, his wife, and the entire people of the state following the recent devastating floods that have claimed lives and destroyed homes and livelihoods.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the First Lady expressed deep sympathy for the affected communities, recognizing the profound impact of the disaster.
“My heart and prayers are with you during this challenging time. The tragic loss of lives, homes, and livelihoods is an immense burden that no community should have to bear,” she said.
Mrs. Tinubu also offered prayers for the state’s recovery, expressing hope that Borno would emerge stronger from the tragedy. She prayed for the souls of those who lost their lives, asking Almighty Allah to grant them Aljanah Firdaus, and wished the people of Borno strength and hope as they navigate this difficult period.
