2027: Former Ogun Assembly member, Adeleye declares for House of Reps seat

…Prioritises economic empowerment, job creation for constituents

A leading aspirant for Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency contesting on platform of All Progressive Congress(APC) Hon. Adijat Adeleye, has formerly declared interest to run for the seat into the House of representative come 2027 elections.

Adeleye made her intention known yesterday when she formally unveiled her ambition before a gathering of party executive and stalwarts at the Ajuwon/Akute Ward 6 in Ifo Local Government Area.

She told the party faithfuls at the meeting headed by the Ward Chairman, Kabir Akinola, that she picked the ward to declare her political ambition because it was another avenue to prove her deep-rooted connection to the people.

“I am glad this is a gathering of our Party leaders, grassroots mobilizers, youth groups, women leaders, and critical stakeholders gathered in large numbers at our ward level, united by a shared belief in purposeful leadership and a collective desire for progress. Indeed, this is significant in the birth of a renewed vision”, she stated.

Adeleye, a former member of the Ogun state House of Assembly, described her aspiration as a call to service driven by responsibility, experience, and a genuine desire to make a difference, emphasizing that her decision to contest is not borne out of personal interests.

She mentioned economic empowerment and job creation for youths and women as plans she has for the people of the constituency of given the chance to represent them at the the lower chamber of the National Assembly.

“I strongly convey my heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun for appointing me as a Commissioner in the State Cabinet and for giving me the necessary support to succeed in the discharge of my duties. Equally, I appreciate the Governor for the completed and ongoing road infrastructure done in my Local Government most especially in Ajuwon/Akute Ward”.

“Central to my plans is the prioritization of economic empowerment and job creation, particularly for youths and women”. She added.

Adeleye outlined strategies to support small and medium-scale enterprises, promote vocational training, and attract investments that would stimulate local industries, stressing that empowering people economically remained the surest path to reducing poverty and enhancing community stability.

She expressed her readiness to advocate for policies and projects that will bridge existing gaps and bring tangible development closer to the people.

Adeleye also reaffirmed her commitment to responsive and inclusive representation, promising to maintain open channels of communication with constituents, noting that she would be inclusive in her representation.
