Malami emerges ADC guber candidate in Kebbi
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State has affirmed former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, as its governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.
The development was contained in a statement issued by Mohammed Bello Doka, Special Assistant on Media to Malami, who said party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters had expressed confidence in the ADC’s preparations for the next election cycle.
According to the statement, retired military officer, Aminu Bande, was affirmed as the party’s senatorial candidate for Kebbi Central, while retired Deputy Comptroller-General, Ibrahim Muhammad Mera, emerged as the candidate for Kebbi North Senatorial District.
It added that Garba Danjuma Limi was affirmed as the party’s senatorial candidate for Kebbi South.
The statement noted that the party remained committed to providing purposeful leadership, good governance, justice, security, and sustainable development for Kebbi State and the country at large.
It further called for unity and determination among party members and supporters, expressing optimism that the ADC would build “a more prosperous future for generations to come.”
Malami is currently facing trial, but the former Minister has maintained innocence, alleging political witch hunt.
