KC Luxury sues NDLEA over continued detention

Lagos socialite, Afolabi Kazeem, popularly known as KC Luxury, has sued the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, demanding N190 million in damages over his arrest and continued detention.

KC Luxury is also asking the Federal High Court to grant him bail as he challenges his continued detention by the anti-drug agency.

It will be recalled that KC Luxury was arrested by NDLEA operatives at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on August 13, 2026, while he was reportedly preparing to travel to Paris.

His arrest followed the agency’s seizure of 184.5kg of cocaine from a courier company in Lagos.

“This cartel leader did not walk into our custody voluntarily; he intended to flee the country on a business-class flight to Paris,” the NDLEA chairman said.

In the new suit, KC Luxury is seeking N190 million in damages and asking the court to order his release or grant him bail.
