Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has visited the San Francisco headquarters of global music company EMPIRE, where he met with its founder and CEO, Ghazi Shami, and his team.

Sanwo-Olu highlighted EMPIRE’s support for Nigerian artistes including Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Asake and Fireboy DML, noting that Lagos remains a key driver of the global growth of Afrobeats.

He said discussions with Shami reinforced the commitment to creating opportunities for local talents to grow and tell their stories on the global stage.
