Kehinde Oladega Donates Pairs of Safety Boots to Teachers Amid Flooding in Agboyi
In response to a request from teachers struggling to cope with the ongoing flooding in Agboyi, Hon. Prince Kehinde Ibrahim Oladega has donated 15 pairs of safety rain boots to teachers at MAO Junior Secondary School to help them navigate waterlogged pathways and get to school more safely. Prince Oladega, the Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on Political Mobilization and Strategy, made the donation earlier today following concerns raised by teachers about the difficulties they face commuting to school during the flooding.
Earlier today, the Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on Political Mobilization and Strategy donated 15 pairs of safety rain boots to teachers at MAO Junior Secondary School, Agboyi, to help them navigate flooded pathways and get to work more safely.
For many of the school’s teachers, some of whom commute from neighbouring communities, the flooding has made the daily journey to school increasingly challenging. Beyond the inconvenience, waterlogged roads and pathways pose safety and health risks, which sometimes affects the smooth running of school activities.
The donation is a practical response to these challenges, helping teachers move through flooded areas with greater protection and reducing one of the obstacles that could disrupt their daily responsibilities. It also reflects the importance of supporting educators who continue to show up for their students despite the difficulties posed by the flooding.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the school, the Principal of MAO Junior Secondary School, Mr. Fagbohun M .A., expressed her appreciation to Prince Oladega for the gesture. She also offered prayers for him and the Lagos State Government, commending their commitment to public service and support for teachers working in flood-prone communities.
At a time when flooding is making everyday activities more difficult for residents of Agboyi, the gesture serves as a reminder that even practical interventions can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those working to keep education going.
In response, the school acknowledged the good gesture of Oladega through a letter of appreciation,
