To hear from the organisers themselves, a call was put through to the chairman of the Amititi Day planning committee, Mr. Kayode Adumadeyin; who is also the Director, Marketing; Radio Lagos/Eko FM. In his response, he said “Amititi Day is a day of celebration and thanksgiving”. He explained that, it is a day of thanksgiving to Almighty God for keeping the Radio Lagos/Eko FM family together and giving them the inspiration for creative ideas from time to time. And also, to Lagos State Government and the supervising Ministry of Information; for their unflinching support all the time.

Concluding, he said Amititi is also a day of celebration and thanksgiving to the workforce of the radio house. In his words, “It is never a one-man show, the success we record year-on-year is a product of collaborative effort of the management and the staff of Radio Lagos/Eko FM under the innovative leadership of our general manager, Mr. Jide Lawal who has always opened his ears and heart to brilliant ideas and suggestions, towards taking the station to greater heights”.
