The All Progressives Congress (APC) faction in Osun, known as the Omoluabi Progressives, has started registering new members throughout the state.

They were led by the group’s leaders, including Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the immediate past Minister of Interior, at the June edition of the caucus’ monthly stakeholders meeting in Ilesa on Saturday, a statement signed by the caucus’ organizing and publicity secretary, Abosede Oluwaseun said.

The caucus also announced its website, to grant members access to tracking its activity and global membership registration.

After officially joining the caucus from Ward 08, Ilesa East Local Government, Aregbesola addressed the stakeholders and said that the caucus and its actions play a significant role in deciding the state’s election fortunes.

To fulfil the caucus’s objective, he urged members to persevere in their mobilization efforts, particularly at the grassroots level.

Aregbesola said, “There is no one who has not felt the wind of the Omoluabi Progressives in the state. Those who knew what we did to them as opposition have started talking because they know our capacity and the fact we are the real politicians who deeply connect with the grassroots.

“There is no doubting the fact that God is with us. By the time we unveil our direction, everyone else who shares in our vision will come on board. I want to assure you that God is with us.

“I want to charge you to continue to mobilise for us and bring heavyweight politicians into the Omoluabi Progressives. It is factual that all the people of Osun love, adore, and are behind us. We must, however, not relent and continue to propagate our virtues and core ethos.”

Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, the Chairman of Omoluabi Progressives, thanked every member for their support.

He reported that the state executive committee’s recent federal constituency trip was a success and urged all members to stick together to achieve the caucus’ shared goal.

Adesiji promised to take care of matters as soon as they arose and urged the Omoluabi Progressives’ leadership to educate members more about the organization’s mission.

“On behalf of the state executive committee, I want to thank everyone for their support of the vision and mission of Omoluabi. I am happy to report that at the last federal constituency meeting, we had the opportunity to resolve every issue on the ground, and the caucus is now stronger.

“It is also heartwarming to let everyone know that we are welcoming new members into the fold every day. I urge our chairmen and leaders to come together and educate all of our members on what we do and represent as Omoluabis. By the grace of God, we will reach the desired zenith.

“We want to urge stakeholders not to relent in your efforts at making Omoluabi Progressives produce the next government in Osun in 2026. As we move on with our assignments, we will be reaching out to you to review your giant strides and provide the required assistance. We are here for you,” Adesiji stated.

The local government chairmen of the Omoluabi Progressives around the state received the ethics and code of conduct of the caucus with the reports on their respective actions during the meeting.

Additionally, grassroots politicians from all around the state joined the conference.
