Bola Tinubu Returns
Former Governor of Lagos state and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is back in the country. He was received at the airport by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
He landed in the country in the late evening of Friday, 8th October, two days earlier than Sunday, 10th that he was penciled to return. He was said to have done that to beat the his campaign group, SWAGA 2023, to their plan of welcoming him to massive rally.
Asiwaju is said not to be disposed to the idea.
“Asiwaju is not disposed to the elaborate rally planned to receive him by his supporters because of the mood of the nation, that’s why he came in quietly, unannounced,” said a source who craves anonymity.
It will be recalled that SWAGA 2023 launched the South West chapter of the campaign in Lagos on Thursday, 7 October, 2021 with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat; leader of SWAGA, Senator Dayo Adeyeye; and his deputy, Senator Soji Akanbi; as well as other APC stalwarts to kickstart the 2023 presidential campaign.
