The Lawmaker representing
Ikeja Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adedamola
Richard Kasunmu (ARK) has appealed to the members of his Constituency to
remain calm and steadfast in the wake of the unexpected shift in the 2019
election dates by Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Office, the Lawmaker, who is also the APC State House of Assembly candidate for
Ikeja Constituency 2, Lagos, stated that ” the postponement of the
elections by INEC is not only shocking but disappointing and embarrassing. He

reminding them that delay may not necessarily mean denial”.
According to the statement, Hon.
Kasunmu said “on our part as the ruling party we have done our homework
properly, we have campaigned and we are still campaigning, we are fully
ready and prepared for the polls with total confidence that victory is ours.
But alas, the INEC in its ‘wisdom’ came up with new dates at the last
minutes. We are not worried about this, neither are we bordered because we know
we will defeat PDP and any party, fair and square, anytime, anyday”
“In view of this, i hereby
appeal to all our Party members, friends and supporters to remain focused and
committed to the task at hand, which is winning all categories of these
elections for our great party convincingly and emphatically”.
Speaking further, Hon. Adedamola
Richard Kasunmu (fondly called ARK) implored all APC members, supporters and
constituents to sustain the current rate of preparations and mobilisations and
get ready to win the entire Ikeja Constituency 2 for President Muhammadu Buhari
and all APC Candidates next Saturday 23rd February and replicate same for him
and Babajide Ssnwoolu come 9th of March.

presumed to be set for the Presidential and National Assembly Elections slated
for Saturday 16th February 2019 only the Electoral Umpire suddenly come up with
a midnight announcement that the Elections have been postponed to some new
dates, just few hours to the commencement of the polls.
