EX-COMMANDOS REUNION: Old Students to Support School, Celebrate Old Teachers, Students, Others

Command Day Secondary School, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Rukuba, Jos, Plateau State (Formally Rukuba Military Cantonment) Old Students Association, Lagos State chapter is planning big for their alma mater, former teachers, students which promises to be the much-talked about event of the year.

 

Mr. Emmanuel Onyeme, Lagos Chapter Caretaker Committee Chairman, has appealed to all old students, popularly called Ex-Commandos, to support Lagos chapter and contribute financially towards the reunion and to give back to the school as well as celebrate old teachers and ex-students for their immense contribution thus far.

 

“I’m happy to announce to you that Command Day Secondary School, Jos, popularly called CDSSJ, has produced many students who have and are making great marks in chosen carriers such as the military, academics, sports, administration and other spheres of life as a result of increasing demands for the quality education received. I am also appealing to sets, individuals and chapters for financial contribution towards some projects that will be carried out in the school. All sets are encouraged to be in attendance,” he said.

 

A press statement signed and released to journalists by the Publicity Secretary of the Association, Theresa Moses, states that members of the Old Students Association will kick of activities of its reunion/award ceremony on Friday, February 25, with a motivational lecture and presentation of gifts to students of Command Day Secondary School, Ikeja Military Cantonment. The goal is to encourage students to read their books as education is the bedrock of success; also to be disciplined and be good ambassadors of the school. The activity is in line with the motto of the school – ‘Disciple and knowledge’ – ahead of all engagements, she added.

 

The programme continues on Saturday, 26th February, 2022 with presentation of awards to old teachers, students of the school and deserving Nigerians who have contributed immensely to humanity and the education sector.
