It has been described as a creation of some faceless and mischievous individuals who are bent on creating acrimonious situation the new making the rounds that the former governor of Lagos, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has abandoned the ruling party, All Progressive Party, to the opposition’s Peoples Democratic Party.
This was made known in a statement e-signed by the former governor’s media aide, Habib Aruna.
While debunking the rumour as an attempt to malign Ambode, Aruna appealed to the public to disregard the news as being peddled by mischievous persons.
“We enjoin the general public, particularly Lagosians to disregard the planted news by some faceless and mischievous individuals in some unknown blogs, who are hell bent on creating acrimonious situation, spreading fake news that the immediate past governor of Lagos State, HE. Akinwunmi Ambode (@AkinwunmiAmbode) has dumped the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) for the PDP,” he submitted.
