Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has congratulated the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, on his birthday, acknowledging his contributions to the growth and development of Osun State.
In a congratulatory message signed by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke noted that Basiru’s commitment to success, through struggles and networking, propelled him up the leadership ladder both in Osun and Nigeria at large.
The governor emphasized that the Osogbo-born lawyer’s ambition and hard work earned him opportunities to serve as a two-term commissioner, a senator, and now the national secretary of the APC.
“I join family and well-wishers to celebrate Barrister Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru on the auspicious occasion of his birthday. While we may be on opposite sides politically, I recognise his service to this state at different times,” Adeleke said.
He prayed that Allah would bless Basiru with more celebrations in good health and sound mind, expressing hope that politics going forward would focus on uniting the people for growth and development, rather than causing division and stagnation.
