MFM celebrates own 16-year-old record-setting youngest chartered accountant at Prayer City

Danielle Osasere Clement- Egberanmwen is the wave making incredibly brilliant child everyone is talking about right now. She just recorded a feat never before accomplished in this part of the world and possibly in the entire world. At just 16 years old, Danielle Osasere has shattered a national record by becoming the youngest person in Nigeria to earn a chartered accountancy qualification through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Osasere’s qualification breaks a record set in 2022 by Jonathan Adewale, who was 17 when he became the then-youngest chartered accountant in the country.

The ICAN certification is considered one of the most demanding professional qualifications in Nigeria, one that typically takes graduates and seasoned professionals years of intensive study to obtain, making her accomplishment at 16 all the more striking.

Understandably, the young gifted lady has been making headlines ever since the news broke. The news of her phenomenal achievement has spread through the length and breadth of the country as Nigerians storm social media to heap praises on her. She has been variously described as a leading light of her generation and one of the brightest minds to lead the country in the coming years. Her former secondary school, Mictech International Schools, gave her a rousing reception and she was honoured with the presentation of an award for her exceptional brilliance and remarkable feat as Nigeria’s youngest Chartered Accountant.

The Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande also celebrated the achievement on Monday, calling it proof of what hard work, discipline, and resilience can accomplish. He described Danielle as “a shining example of the limitless potential of Nigerian youth” and said her feat should push other young Nigerians to dream bigger and stay the course.

Since the last few days, Danielle has been receiving such encomiums from all parts of the country, but what many didn’t know is that this young achiever is a devout member of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries and she also enjoyed the spiritual guidance of the ministry under the leadership of the General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, which helped in her pursuit of academic excellence. .
It came as a pleasant surprise to the legion of MFM members scattered all around the globe when they found that the young lady who has been in the news for her massive accomplishment is actually a member of MFM. Even more heart warming was the realisation that she is not just a member, she is indeed an active member of the Women of Fire Region 1, We Care ministry.

This came to light at the Power Must Change Hands programme for the month of July held at the Prayer City. The entire auditorium erupted into a frenzy of excitement and cheers when Danielle, the lady of the moment, was called on to the podium. The members were profoundly happy to know that Danielle is indeed one of their own. She began her testimony by introducing herself.

“My name is Danielle Clement Egberanmwen and I am a member of Women of Fire Region 1, We Care ministry.,” and this gladdened the hearts of the congregation as they clapped in appreciation of her introduction.

Sharing her testimony before the congregation, Osasere said her parents encouraged her to enrol for ICAN’s accounting technicians scheme (ATS) examinations instead of waiting until she was old enough for university admission.

“I am 16 years old. I started this ICAN journey three years ago after finishing my secondary school early,” she said. “My parents encouraged me to start writing the ICAN examinations through ATS instead of just waiting around until I got to the right age for university.”

According to her, the journey was particularly challenging because she did not study accounting in secondary school.

“I wasn’t an accounting student in secondary school, so the exams, especially at the first level proved very difficult, more difficult than they probably were for other people at the same level,” she said.

“But I had to put in extra effort, and with the grace of God, I was able to pass that first level. Ever since then, it has been a success.”

The prodigy said she experienced a setback after failing one of her final examination papers last year but refused to give up.

“Last year, I failed one of my final papers, unfortunately, which I had to rewrite earlier this year in May,” she recalled.

“To the glory of God, I passed that examination, and now I can say that I am a qualified accountant of the institute at 16 years old.”

Osasere’s feat is coming a year after Temilola Blossom Arise, an 18-year-old student at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), passed her professional stage examination of ICAN.

The young lady acknowledged the role of prayer and the spiritual guidance she received from MFM as having played significant roles in her success story. The General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Olukoya also took time to celebrate one of his outstanding children. He wrote on one of his social media handles:

“Today, we celebrate with one of our own, Danielle Osasere Clement-Egberanmwen, as she shares the inspiring testimony of becoming Nigeria’s youngest Chartered Accountant at just 16 years old.
This extraordinary achievement stands as a powerful testament to God’s faithfulness and what can be accomplished through diligence, discipline, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Her journey is an inspiration to young people everywhere, proving that with God’s grace, determination, and a clear vision, age is never a barrier to greatness.

Congratulations, Osasere! We pray that this remarkable milestone will be the beginning of even greater accomplishments and that God will continue to lead you from glory to glory.”
