NEC okays Tinubu’s plan to renovate security agencies’ training institutions
The National Economic Council (NEC) has approved President Bola Tinubu’s plan to renovate the training institutions of security agencies in the country.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima chaired the 153rd NEC meeting, which had President Tinubu in attendance at the State House, Abuja, on Thursday.
Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, who addressed State House correspondents at the end of the meeting, said the NEC constituted a committee to conduct an on-the-spot assessment of the condition of all security training institutions nationwide.
According to him, Peter Mbah, governor of Enugu, is the chairman of the committee, while Baba Alkali, former inspector-general of police (IGP), will serve as the secretary.
