The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has assured that the scarcity of the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol across the country will disappear next week
It explained that it has set out measures to mitigate the crisis, even as it said 30 vessels will supply additional 2.3 billion litres of the product until the end of February.
This was part of the updates availed the National Economic Council (NEC) presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo with Governors, Ministers and other top government officials in attendance.
NEC is composed of all 36 Governors; the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and some other members of the Federal Executive Council.

“NNPC’S strategy is on for restoring stability in PMS supply and distribution by boosting incoming PMS supplies, recertification and release of in-country PMS stock and enhancing distribution management,” the statement said.
