Olu Agboyi supports Red Cross Nigeria with parcel of land

The traditional ruler of one of the ancient communities in Lagos, Oba (Engineer) Monsuru Abimbola Oladega, the Olu of Agboyi kingdom, has supported Red Cross Nigeria, Lagos chapter, with a parcel of land. 
The formal presentation of the landed property was carried out at the Palace of Olu Agboyi. 
The gift has further solidified the robust relationship between the Agboyi kingdom and the Red Cross. Oba Oladega, it will be recalled, paid a courtesy visit to the British headquarters of the Red Cross in the United Kingdom sometime in 2023.
In his speech at the formal presentation of the document of the landed property, Oba Oladega, whose stool was recently restored to the status of a first-class monarch in the state, recognized the role and essence of the Red Cross all over the world. He went further to appreciate the organization for its unprecedented financial empowerment to his subjects during the COVID lockdown as well as the continuous support being granted to owners of small-scale businesses in the community. 
While the Olu Agboyi acknowledged that the presence of the Red Cross in Agboyi Island will not only expose the potentials of Agboyi to the world, he’s also convinced that it will foster an everlasting legacy between Agboyi and the Red Cross International.

The chairman of the Red Cross in Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Kolawole Victoria Adebola, in her address eulogized the Olu Agboyi for a leadership style that is seasoned and visionary. She further affirmed that the visit of the monarch to the British headquarters of the Red Cross in London birthed more support from the British headquarters of the Red Cross as well as Red Cross Nigeria.
As she expresses her gratitude to Oba Oladega for fulfilling the promise he made during his royal visitation to the British headquarters of the Red Cross, she uses the opportunity to call on other well-meaning Nigerians to take a clue from the impressive generosity of the royal father and give a helping hand to the Red Cross society.
The legal adviser of the Red Cross, Lagos chapter, Bar. Mrs. Sadist Gbonjubola Olawoyin was among a number of the state and local officials of the society who witnessed the document presentation.
Also present at the event were Baale Orubaketa, High Chief Lateef Adesino, Baale Ajelogo Fadare, and an Agboyi Ketu LCDA official. High Chief Alayeki Adetona, the Seriki and the Oluwo of Agboyi, Chief Lateef Balogun, as well as the representative of the Oba of Oruba, Chief Oluwo Ganiyu.
