Presidential Inauguration: Former Ogun Speaker, Titi Oseni Congratulates Tinubu, Calls for Appropriate Women Representation in Cabinet

Former Speaker of Ogun state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Titi Oseni,  has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his successful inauguration as the 16th President of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria.

Speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital on Monday, Hon. Oseni lauded the achievements of the former Lagos state governor, which according to her will be replicated at the national level.

She however called for appropriate women representation in the formation of the cabinet, appointments into government parastatals and agencies, saying that the women still remain the missing link in the national development

She added that women, which form a larger percentage in the population of the country should be accorded their rightful place in decision making, policy formulations and governance.

“I want to personally congratulate our leader and now the President of Nigeria on his official assumption of power. This is a renewed hope for the citizens of the country indeed.

“The President has always reteirated his desire to see the women folk grow so I am optimistic that he will surely make true his words during campaign.

“Recall that when he spoke at the presentation of a book titled ‘101 Nigerian Women of Impact’ in Abuja, he said the Nigerian women are the missing chip in the puzzle that would fix this country”, Oseni added

Quoting the President, “Nigeria is at a turning point and the missing chip in that puzzle that would fix this country and give us the speed we need are the women folk. This is your call to action and development”, Tinubu had said.
