Tinubu felicitates Airtel Nigeria Executive Director Femi Adeniran as he turns 50
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Airtel Nigeria Executive Director, Prince Femi Adeniran, on his 50th birthday, describing him as a “bridge builder, visionary communicator and committed patriot” whose career reflects dedication to both public service and private enterprise.
In a statement on Sunday issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Adeniran’s contributions to national development, investment promotion and corporate leadership.
The President commended Adeniran’s willingness to leave senior private-sector positions to serve in public roles at critical moments in Nigeria’s democratic and economic development.
According to the statement, Adeniran first demonstrated this commitment during the 2011 presidential election when he served as Chief of Staff to the vice-presidential candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), contributing to the organisational and strategic efforts of the progressive movement.
Tinubu also recalled that Adeniran was later identified by a governance reform team established by him and seconded to the Osun State Governor’s Office between 2011 and 2014, where he supported institutional efficiency initiatives.
The President further acknowledged Adeniran’s tenure as the pioneer Chief Executive Officer of the Osun State Investment Promotion Agency from 2019 to 2022 under former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
“In that role, Prince Adeniran helped reposition the state’s investment promotion architecture, strengthened investor engagement and advanced public-private collaboration for economic growth,” the statement said.
Tinubu also highlighted Adeniran’s career across the financial services, education technology and telecommunications sectors, noting that his appointment in 2023 as Executive Director of Airtel Nigeria has strengthened stakeholder engagement within the industry.
The President said Adeniran’s “broad cross-sector experience has continued to support constructive industry engagement, corporate leadership and dialogue between the telecommunications sector and government on the long-term sustainability, resilience and competitiveness of the industry.”
