Tinubu meets Sultan of Sokoto
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday received the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Muhammadu Sa’adu Abubakar III, at the State House in Abuja.
The private meeting, it was gathered, formed part of ongoing engagements between the President and traditional as well as religious leaders across the country.
Checks revealed that President Tinubu last week hosted an interfaith Ramadan and Lenten breaking of fast at the State House with selected traditional rulers and religious leaders from across the country.
The Sultan of Sokoto was represented at the event by the Etsu Nupe, Yahaya Abubakar.
The meeting between the President and the Sultan reportedly lasted about 20 minutes.
