Tinubu, Speaker Tajudeen, Amosun, Others Hail Ogun Deputy Governor at 60

Encomiums and goodwill messages have continued to pour in for the Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, as she recently marked her 60th birthday.

Leading the list of eminent well-wishers is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who described the Deputy Governor as a consummate professional whose contributions to governance have been marked by creativity, discipline, and hard work.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu commended Engr. Salako-Oyedele’s resilience and steadfastness, noting her exemplary stewardship since assuming office in 2019. He also praised her commitment to the progressive ideals of the present administration and wished her many happy returns.

Similarly, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, described her as an Amazon and a true democrat, lauding her as a dependable ally of Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

The Speaker noted that her years of selfless service to the nation and humanity reflected her deep-rooted belief in Nigeria, praying that the years ahead would bring her more grace, sound health, increased wisdom, and fulfillment.

Former Ogun State Governor and Senator, Ibikunle Amosun, in his congratulatory message, described Engr. Salako-Oyedele’s life as eventful, marked by notable accomplishments in her professional career and distinguished service as Deputy Governor.

Also congratulating the celebrant, APC National Woman Leader, Dr. Mary Idele, described her as an iconic technocrat, exemplary public servant, and a shining symbol of purposeful leadership. She stressed that the Deputy Governor’s commitment to good governance, professionalism, and women’s inclusion had left indelible marks on Ogun State and Nigeria at large.

Dr. Idele added that Engr. Salako-Oyedele’s life journey reflected excellence, resilience, competence, and unwavering dedication to service, praying God to grant her sound health, renewed strength, divine wisdom, and many more fruitful years in service to humanity and the nation.

The University of Lagos Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association also joined in celebrating one of their own, describing her as a worthy ambassador whose life and career stand as a testament to the impact of rigorous engineering training, global exposure, and commitment to the public good.

On its part, the Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT) said the milestone provided an opportunity to celebrate a life dedicated to public service, exemplary leadership, and outstanding contributions to the development of Ogun State and Nigeria. The group noted that her dedication to good governance would continue to inspire many, especially young professionals and women.

Other organisations that felicitated the Deputy Governor include the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Nigerian Union of Journalists, Nigerian Society of Engineers, and Penpushing Media, all of whom described her as a beacon of hope and inspiration to women across the country.
