Tinubu was ahead of ‘Orchestrated game unfolding in America’ – Presidency

Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga has revealed that President Bola Tinubu was already aware of what he described as “the orchestrated game unfolding in America” before delivering his firm charge to Nigeria’s new service chiefs on Thursday.

Onanuga, in a post on his official X handle @aonanuga1956 on Sunday, said the President’s message to the military leaders was a clear reflection of his readiness to confront both internal and external threats to Nigeria’s security and stability.

“President Bola Tinubu was well ahead of the orchestrated game unfolding in America as he told the new service chiefs what Nigerians expect of them. No more excuses, he said. Nigerians want results,” Onanuga wrote.

He then shared an excerpt from Tinubu’s speech, where the President warned the armed forces to act decisively against the rise of new armed groups across parts of the North-Central, North-West, and South, saying: “Security threats are constantly evolving, constantly mutating. Of grave concern to our administration is the recent emergence of new armed groups in the North-Central, North-West, and parts of the South. We must not allow these new threats to fester. We must be decisive and proactive. Let us smash the new snakes right in the head.”

Tinubu further charged the service chiefs to embrace innovation, deploy technology, and remain pre-emptive in tackling insecurity.

“I charge you to be innovative, pre-emptive, and courageous. Let’s stay ahead of those who seek to threaten our peace. Nigerians expect results, not excuses,” he stated.

Onanuga’s post appears to connect Tinubu’s security directive to wider developments allegedly “unfolding in America,” though he did not specify the nature of the “game.”
