You Are a Beacon of Service and Excellence- Gov. Aiyedatiwa Celebrates Father of President Tinubu’s Top Aide, Baba Ifejola Arowolo, at 80
The Dome in Akure was abuzz with dignitaries today, Saturday, as family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the 80th birthday of Baba Ifejola Arowolo, a revered pharmacist and former Director of Pharmaceutical Services in Ondo State.
The Ondo State Governor, His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, was represented by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Olukayode Ajulo SAN OON, at the grand occasion. In his remarks, Dr. Ajulo, on behalf of the Governor, lauded the celebrant’s immense contributions to public service, particularly his pioneering role as the first Chairman of the National Drug Abuse Committee in Ondo State, where he spearheaded the fight against counterfeit drugs.
He also read the a message personally written by Governor Aiyedatiwa to the celebrant.
“Today, we celebrate not just the passage of time, but a life rich in achievements, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to our community. Baba Arowolo has been a beacon of hope and inspiration, touching many lives through his exemplary service.
“Eighty years of life is an incredible journey, one filled with challenges, triumphs, and invaluable lessons. As we reflect on the remarkable contributions Baba Ifejola Arowolo s a has made to our state, let us also acknowledge the love and support of family and friends that have been instrumental along this journey.” He read.
Dr. Ajulo, who, on behalf of Governor Aiyedatiwa and the people of Ondo State, extended congratulations to the celebrant, also expressed gratitude to Mrs. Olu Verheijen, Special Adviser to the President on Energy, for her dedication to caring for her father and the entire family.
The event attracted a host of distinguished personalities, including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi; the Osemawe of Ondo, Oba Victor Kiladejo; the Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Engr. Gbenga Komolafe; and other eminent figures, including Engr. Ogunleye.
The celebration was marked by heartfelt tributes, cultural displays, and an outpouring of appreciation for Baba Arowolo’s lasting legacy in the pharmaceutical sector and beyond.
