You can’t criticise govt without giving solutions, Actress Dayo Amusa tells Peter Obi
Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa, has berated the presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, stating that he can’t criticise government policy without giving solutions to them.
Amusa shared her reaction on social media after watching Peter Obi’s recent interview with broadcaster Rufai Oseni.
During the interview, the former Anambra State governor declined to provide specific details about how he would implement some of his proposed policies.
Reacting to the interview, Dayo Amusa said anyone seeking to lead the country should be able to explain not only their plans but also how they intend to achieve them.
According to the actress, it is not enough for political leaders to point out weaknesses in government policies without offering practical solutions.
She argued that Nigerians deserve clear explanations from presidential candidates about what they would do differently if elected.
Amusa also questioned Obi’s decision not to disclose details of his strategy, saying voters have a right to know the plans of anyone seeking their support.
“A leader should be an able to answer how and what they can do differently.. No sir, you can’t criticize all government policies and not give solutions to them..It’s very obvious you don’t want people to vote you that is why you want to keep your plans to your chest, it’s not a secret affair, we want to know what you’re going to do differently.. I watched the podcast with Rufai, it wasn’t inspiring!,” she wrote on X.
