30-year-old PWD scales APC screening for Kaduna reps seat

Mahmud Sadis Buba, a 30-year-old person living with disability (PWD), has passed the screening conducted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest for a seat in the house of representatives from Kaduna state.

Buba, popularly known as Abin Al-Ajabin Zazzau, is seeking to represent the Sabon Gari federal constituency.

He lives with dwarfism, a condition that affects growth and physical development.

The aspirant drew attention online after a video from his APC screening surfaced on social media.

Speaking during the screening, Buba said he is the first of nine children and holds a senior secondary school certificate.

Explaining his decision to contest, he said he was persuaded by members of his constituency to seek office.

“I am not doing this for myself. It is from the people. People called me to serve them, and I will serve,” he said.

Buba is aiming to unseat Sadiq Ango Abdullahi who won the seat in 2023 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before defecting to the APC.

Abdullahi is seeking re-election on the platform of the ruling party.
