REPORT FROM THE PALACE OF OLU AGBOYI KINGDOM ON THE VISITATION OF HON. MOREMI OJUDU
Our revered Monarch, the Olu of Agboyi Kingdom received the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President, Hon. Moremi Ojudu, at his palace today, August 15th, 2024.
The session started with an opening prayer by the Oluwo of Agboyi Kingdom, while the session was moderated by the Akogun of Agboyi and the Personal Assistant to the Olu of Agboyi Kingdom.
The Olu Agboyi-In-Council and other stakeholders holds was introduced by Akogun of Agboyi.
While Prince Ibrahim Oladega introduced the SSA and her entourage. He praised Hon. Moremi Ojudu as a bold and courageous woman with exceptional qualities. He further noted that during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in Abuja, he served alongside Hon. Moremi on the Adhoc Screening Committee for National Delegates, the same primary that produced Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the APC candidate.
In her remarks, Hon. Moremi Ojudu expressed her appreciation for the leadership of the Olu of Agboyi and the warm reception she received in Agboyi. She mentioned that she had never experienced such hospitality during her engagements with communities in the Southwest region of Nigeria. She emphasized that her role as SSA to the President is to maintain robust communication with communities and provide feedback to the President for better action.
She urged the people of Kosofe, through the Agboyi community, to support the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. She acknowledged the challenges the administration inherited but assured the community that the dividends of democracy would soon be enjoyed by all.
Hon. Moremi further described Prince Ibrahim Oladega as a friend, an intelligent, creative, and young politician with a strong passion for his community. She highlighted his role as Asiwaju in a stage play in remembrance of Late Abibat Mogaji, the mother of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
She promised the people of Agboyi that her office would collaborate more with the community, praising their ruler and chiefs for being accommodating and strategic in their approach.
In his remarks, the Olori Odo of Agboyi, urged Hon. Moremi to include youth in her programs, focusing on skills training, empowerment, and employment opportunities.
The Iyalode of Agboyi implored Hon. Moremi to also prioritize women, appreciating the federal government for various projects in Agboyi Kingdom.
Chief Osolo of Agboyi also emphasized that is the the turn of Agboyi to occupy the leadership of Our dear local government (Agboyi-Ketu LCDA ). He also used the political language of Asiwaju that Emi lo kan i.e “Agboyi lo kan” Nothing to be hide again because we the people of Agboyi are progressives and we work for success of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed and APC Candidate in the general election and other local government election without lossing any of our booths in our two wards.
His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr) Monsuru Abimbola Oladega, expressed his gratitude to the government for the ongoing infrastructural projects in Agboyi. He thanked Hon. Moremi Ojudu for choosing Agboyi as her point of contact in Kosofe land and prayed for her long life and continued success.
The Olu of Agboyi echoed the sentiments of his chiefs and expressed his appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He called on the President to address security challenges faced by farmers and work towards controlling the prices of goods in the market to ease the burden on the common man. He also urged Nigerians to exercise patience, emphasizing that high prices are often driven by unnecessary actions.
The Olu of Agboyi added that a reorganization of the NNPC could help enhance the transportation of goods across markets. He presented Hon. Moremi Ojudu with an artwork of a canoe, symbolizing the traditional occupation and means of transportation in Agboyi.
Additional items presented to Hon. Moremi included historical documents on the Agboyi Kingdom.
The closing prayer was offered by the Chief Lisa of Agboyi. The meeting session came to a successful end with group Photographies.
