Aare Onakakanfo Installs Kayode Ajulo as Mayegun of Yoruba Land
It was a great day at 10 Degrees event centre, Billings Way, Oregun, on Saturday January 12, 2019, when another leg of events lined up for celebration to mark the first year anniversary Iba Gani Adams was installed as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land. On this day, Iba Gani conferred chieftaincy titles on members of his council and among the members was popular human rights activist, Dr. Olukayode Abraham Ajulo. The frontline politician, Ajulo, was decorated with the title of Mayegun of Yoruba land.
The title of Mayegun is considered a perfect one for Barrister Ajulo due to his passion for championing cause of people whose rights are violated. The latest decoration added to his already decorated cap as Ajulo had earlier been conferred with the title of B’amofin of Akure land on the heel of his successful exploit as a legal practitioner.
Other notable personalities that were also conferred with traditional titles of Yoruba land by the Aare Onakakanfo, Iba Gani Adams include Rt. Hon. Femi Bamisile as B’aareselu, Captain Micheal Adeshina as Baarejiroro, Hon. Akeem Ige as Bameto and Alhaja Mudirakat Amore as Yeyeluwa among others.
The glamorous event was spiced up by the presence of former Ogun state governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, wife of PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Titilayo, wife of late strong man of Ibadan politics, Lamidi Adedibu, Bose among other dignitaries.
