The Ondo State Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun Corps has debunked reports that bandits overwhelmed its operatives during an attack in some communities in the state.

It described the report as fake news.

The commander of the Ondo Amotekun, Akogun Adeleye Adetunji, in a statement issued last night, said there was no kidnap or robbery case in recent times in the state.

Adetunji said Amotekun operatives have been on 24 hours patrol with huge success stories.
He said reports that bandits invaded an Ondo community was a ruse, false , unbalanced and targeted at causing chaos in the state.

He noted: “It is so obvious that the said writer of the story did so, for selfish gain from a quarter which the main intention was to dowse the morale of the corps in the state over such mischievous write up.

“We advice the general public to ignore such fake News and go about their legitimate businesses as the Akoko area of the state is safe for movement as the joint security agencies are fully on ground to ensure safety of lives and properties.”
