The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended former President Muhammadu Buhari for reaffirming his loyalty to the party.
In a statement on Thursday, March 13, 2025, Buhari declared, “I am an APC member, and I like to be addressed as such. I will try to popularize the party by all means.”
The party, in a press statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Saturday, praised the former president for swiftly distancing himself from attempts by certain individuals to associate him with their political choices.
The APC described Buhari’s reaffirmation of loyalty as a testament to his integrity and statesmanship, emphasizing his commitment to the party on whose platform he was twice elected as Nigeria’s president.
“The former president’s unalloyed loyalty to our great party has further reinforced his reputation of astute integrity and dignified elder statesmanship,” the statement read.
