The Osun State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, has made public the names of Commissioner and Special Adviser nominees as forwarded to the Assembly by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The nominees announced included two commissioners that served during the tenure of Osun State ex-governor, Rauf Aregbesola.
The two members of Aregbesola’s cabinet that made the list are Mr. Kolapo Alimi and Mr. Biyi Odunlade.
Alimi served as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, while Mr. Biyi Odunlade, served as Special Adviser and later Commissioner for Sports.
They both featured in Adeleke’s list alongside 23 others.
The Speaker read the Governor’s letter containing the nominees to Members of the House of Assembly at Plenary on Friday, 7th July, 2023.

The House of Assembly also set up an Ad-Hoc Committee to conduct preliminary screening of the nominees before they will appear before the House for full screening and confirmation.
Olamide Tiamiyu, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, noted that the process will be completed in good time.
