Frustrated that his lawyers could not lay their hands on President Bola Tinubu’s academic records at Chicago State University, PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar took matters a bit personal by calling out Tinubu on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In a tweet on Sunday that has attracted over 1.3 million views, Atiku went for Tinubu’s jugular in an obvious bid to embarrass him, raising old issues that had for long been dealt with in the court of law and the Lagos House of Assembly.

Atiku tweeted:

I woke up this morning wondering how we got to this cul de sac. In 1999,
@officialABAT claimed he attended St. John’s Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos, before proceeding to Children Home School in Ibadan. According to him, his next port of call in his educational journey was Government College Ibadan and, Richard Daley College and Chicago State University in the United States. Curiously, in 2023, Tinubu settled with attending only
@ChicagoState

I am scratching my head. How is that possible? Methinks that all well-meaning Nigerians should be as confused as I am with Tinubu’s declaration that he had no primary and secondary education, yet he has a university degree. You may wish to #AskTinubu how he attained this feat so that we can learn from his ingenuity -AA

The tweet had triggered mixed reactions, along the political fault line.

Kem Kem a Twitter handle that supports Tinubu replied: “Alhaji sef wan trend.
Lack of access to public funds will make you crave Elon Musk’s money Keep dancing , we dey look your back”.

Boss Mustapha, another Tinubu supporter retorted: It’s funny how all the losers from the previous election aren’t attempting to prove that they won the last elections. Instead, they’re resorting to various methods to fabricate falsehoods in order to disqualify President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Well, I’ll stand firm here and tell you that you can spend all your money inventing lies, but PBAT stands as the people’s choice, and no sore loser can undermine his position.

Techer @affiaemmanuel wrote: “Constitutionally, that’s part of winning elections.
This helps to select the most appropriate winner, it’s not just about the numbers, character is a very important component of winning elections’.

TopboyChris also replied Atiku:

When you went to Asiwaju in 2011 to give you platform to be President, you didn’t wonder.

When you teamed up with Asiwaju in 2015, you didn’t wonder then.

Now Asiwaju has defeated you, you’ve started wondering
