.AYOBO-IPAJA LCDA LAUNCHES MISS AYOBO IPAJA BEAUTY PAGEANT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has partnered with Queenbodaf and Haasty Global Ltd to produce an ambassador for their environmental campaign through a unique pageant, Miss Ayobo Ipaja Beauty Pageant. The initiative aims to tackle the issue of indiscriminate waste disposal and promote a cleaner, healthier environment in the area.
During a courtesy visit to Hon Abiodun Lukmon Agbaje’s office, the organizing committee, comprising Queen Funke Bolarinwa (QueenBodaf), a popular Nollywood sensation and Chief Executive Officer of Queenbodaf Global Ltd, Ms. Olawunmi Hastrup of Haasty Global Ltd and a renowned environmentalist, and another member of the organizing committee, alongside council representatives Alh Idris Bamgboye, Mrs. Gbinigie Abidemi Oreoluwa, and Hon. Titi Jeje, discussed the pageant’s objectives. The pageant is open to females between the ages of 20 and 25 who reside in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, and will not only crown a campaign ambassador but also serve as a platform to empower young ladies from the area. Hon Abiodun Lukmon Agbaje’s administration is committed to maintaining a clean environment, and this collaboration is a step towards achieving that goal.
The LCDA has been actively working on environmental sanitation efforts, including clean-up exercises and collaborations with organizations like the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA). The production of an ambassador is expected to raise awareness and encourage residents to take responsibility for proper waste management.
Hon Agbaje reaffirmed his commitment to the project, tasking the council representatives to ensure fairness and transparency throughout the process.
The Miss Ayobo Ipaja Pageant promises to be an exciting event, showcasing the intelligence, talent, and beauty of young ladies from the area while promoting a vital cause. With the support of the LCDA and the organizing committee, the initiative is poised to make a positive impact on the community.
