If you think you’re close to Tinubu, he will make you think that you’re his pillar. That is why everyone close to him always brags among their hailers that “I’m the force behind Tinubu”! until you remove yourself from Tinubu, you won’t realise how irrelevant you are in the actual sense.
When Tinubu anointed Fashola in 2007, nearly all those “pillars” left and joined the opposition but in the end, the “pillars” realised that they were never pillars, Tinubu was only courteous! Fashola won landslide! All those guys are now back with Tinubu quietly without the previous arrogance!
When ACN merged with CPC to become APC, some ACN folks told Buhari to deal with Tinubu, after all, “we are his pillars, we are the ones that gave him Asiwaju, without us, he’s nothing”. for eight years they mobilized against Jagaban, what they couldn’t do in the ACN. They were the Abuja big boys but Tinubu defeated them without a single federal might, one after the other, they bowed to the Lion King and they realised that Tinubu’s pillar is invincible!
During the last Presidential election, a group of TINUBU’s acclaimed Pillars decided to disgrace him. “We are the brains behind him. We are the ones that handled his court cases which made him look invincible. We are the ones with the mandate, without us, he’s finished”. And when Tinubu defeated them embarrassingly in the APC primary, they formed alliance with Tinubu’s opponents with the determination to end the career of Jagaban of Borgu! Again, “the pillars, the mandators, the brains behind him” were roundly defeated by a man without a federal might. It was like a major defeat suffered by Pharaoh that made me him free the Jews!
The Jagaban is now the President. A man who was prevented with vigor and power since the days of Obasanjo to the lunacy of endsars. From the days of unprecedented betrayals and cabal victimization to the insanity of naira scarcity!!!!! Tony Elumelu called him THE LAST MAN STANDING!!!!
