CONFERENCE OF NIGERIA TRADE ASSOCIATIONS UNVEILS SPEAKERS FOR 4TH EDITION (CONiTA 2022)

Conference of Nigeria Trade Associations; the largest and the foremost gathering of diverse trade associations in Nigeria earlier in the year announced the Call for Papers. The Conference is being organized by a consortium of organizations that share and believe in the Agenda 2030, Africa Agenda 2063 as well as in the Nigeria Economic Sustainability Plan with support from public and private sector. CONiTA 2022 is thus a multi-interface seeking to influence divers trade associations to evolve sustainability models; whose aim among others is to harness their common potentials; drive enabling policies and recommendations for inclusive growth, good governance and shared prosperity encompassing sustainable development goals.

In a press statement issued by the Mr. Nelson Obine, Co-convener of the Conference said the conference for the year is in series following the need to promptly proffer more efficient and encompassing dialogue and solutions to serve teeming interest of diverse trade associations that was raised in the past three editions. Hence the shift from the annually held Conference to a quarterly event; to be followed by a capacity building on trade associations management.

The enumerated speakers include: Prof. Labode Popoola, Chairman, Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Nigeria, Former Vice Chancellor of Osun State University; Dr. Chukwuka Onyekwena, Executive Director, Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA); Mr. Seye Olurotimi, Founder of MSME Africa;  Alhaji Nurudeen Buhari, President, Lagos state Council of Tradesmen and Artisans (LASCOTA); Mr. Tony Peters, Management Consultant; Mr. Taiwo Sowore of National Association of Computer Engineers & Technicians; Dr. Nseabasi Ekanem, President of Trinity Healthcare Foundation; Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, Honourable Commissioner, Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation & Employment, as Guest of Honour among others.

The Slogan for this year’s conference is –Harnessing the Power of Trade Associations for Good Governance, Inclusive Growth and Shared Prosperity. The first in series being the 4th Edition is scheduled to hold on Thursday to Friday, 28th – 29th April, 2022; at the LCCI Conference and Exhibition Centre, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria in a hybrid mode. Time is 10:00am prompt.  Mr. Obine in the statement said attendance is free and still open for members of trade associations in Nigeria.
