Other seized items include 212 bags of foreign parboiled rice, 10,025 litres of premium motor spirit, 250 bales of used clothing, 150 expired powdered milk, 50 pieces of used tyres, 78 rolls of Diclofenac Sodium, 10 Jerry cans of vegetables oils, 20 cartons of foreign spaghetti and 20 bags of foreign sugar with a combined duty paid value worth over N126m.

While briefing journalists at the command headquarters in Birnin Kebbi, the Customs Area Controller, Iheanacho Ernest Ojike, said the suspected smugglers of the items were intercepted at the Kebbi border areas as the illicit drugs are being moved to their destinations.

He said the seizures were possible based on the resilient and courageous efforts of the operation teams, intelligence unit, joint border patrol team and collaboration with other sister agencies in the state.

The lumps of Indian hemp were handed over to the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) while the seized diazepam tablets were handed over to NAFDAC.
