The dynasty of Igbinedion from Edo State headed by a man of immense wealth and connections, Esama of Benin Kingdom, Sir Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, is a family that has over the years become known for elaborate celebrations even as they roll out drums to celebrate as often as occasion demands.
One event this family celebrates that could be said to have become a tradition over the years is the birthday celebration of its patriarch, Esama.
Memories of when the billionaire businessman turned eighty years some three years ago is still fresh in the mind of many as no cost was spared to make sure the man had a befitting birthday while no year had passed without making statements with his birthday anniversary.
Some have argued this might be the best way Esama feels he could relish the success of his labour in old age.
It is the month of Esama’s birth again and as usual, anyone who is privy to the noble family would have noticed the atmosphere in the household has since changed to that of celebration.
The man at the centre stage turns eighty three tomorrow but in the usual manner, the celebration is designed to be a week-long of different activities which has already started.
With a good number of important personalities in attendance, the birthday celebration kicked off with special prayers for the household as they celebrate their patriarch at The Family Intercessory Ministries, Benin City.
The event tagged, The Hero of Our Time at 83, came to an end with fanfare on 11th, which was the birthday date.
