Light skinned and plump politician from the riverine area of the Sunshine State, Ondo, Princess Oladunni Catherine Odu may have for a long time been off the radar as far as governance is concerned in the state even though she is of a status that puts her among those who matter in the scheme of things in the state, at least in her own right. Odu’s first claim to relevance was when she was made the commissioner of Education under former military administrator of the state, Captain Anthony Onyearugbulem.
Like most of them who participated in that government, Odu went under when democratic dispensation set in. She however returned to relevance during the regime of late Olusegun Agagu, where she was not only one of those who had the listening ears of the governor but was equally Chairman of State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBE. She again went under after the expiration of the government. Many years after, the beautiful lady may have returned to the radar following her nomination as a commissioner designated by the governor of the state, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu. The news has been a source of joy not just for Princess Odu, but her supporters and people of her constituent who believe in her.
