Even with his myth and high connections, Hakeem Belo-Osagie, highlighted as one of Africa’s richest by Forbes, is rarely sighted on the social radar.

The former Chairman of United Bank of Africa, UBA, recently encountered challenges in the business world when the telecommunication giant, formerly Etisalat, now 9Mobile, which he sat over as the Chairman found itself in distress and he voluntarily resigned to allow for a restructuring of the company.

While the experience is not a pleasant one for a boardroom guru like him, yet that did not douse the sense of fulfillment he felt as a father when his daughter got married.

Hakeem and his wife, Myma, penultimate weekend recorded a great feat as proud parents when their beautiful daughter, Adesuwa, got married in the traditional way to her heartthrob, Temitope Adesegun Adekoya, the grandchild of founder of famous Adebowale Electronics.

The wedding ceremony which held at a popular event centre in Lekki, Lagos was nothing short of a soiree worthy of a personality like Hakeem Belo-Osagie as everything one could notice indicated it was a high profile event.

The roll call of attendees had the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibajo, Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai to mention a few, as guests that spiced up the glamourous event.
