Just In: INEC rejects Makinde-backed PDP NWC, cites pending court cases
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has rejected the request to recognise the national working committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Kabiru Turaki.
The electoral umpire cited multiple court judgements for its decision.
The Turaki-led PDP NWC has the support of Sey Makinde, governor of Oyo, and Bala Mohammed, his Bauchi counterpart.
