Kogi Guber: Wike kicks against Dino gov interest, says it’s recipe for failure for PDP

Rivers State governor who doubles as a powerful force in PDP, Nyesome Wike, has ruled out Daniel Melaye a.k.a Dino, from the Kogi governorship election scheduled for 11th November, 2023. JustNews.ng reports.

He said the choice of Dino as PDP candidate in Kogi will only bring about failure.

Dino Melaye hails from Kogi West.

The controversial clownish politician had represented Kogi West in both Reps and Senate before attempting to contest for the number one seat in 2019 in which he failed to secure the ticket.

Speaking to a group of journalists in Port Harcourt drawn from NTA, AIT, TVC, governor Wike maintained that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, must strategically select who flies the party’s ticket saying
“Dino (Melaye) does not have what it takes to be a Governor.”

He added that fielding Dino as the PDP candidate will signify beginning of failure for the party.

It would be recalled that Dino Melaye fell out with Wike when he openly supported Atiku who Wike said was not supposed to be the party’s candidate on account of where he hails from, Northeast.
