The Old Students of Lagos African Church Grammar School, Ifako-Agege 1982 set, otherwise known as Lafro Club ’82 are set to donate a fully equipped one block of classroom to the school.
The gesture, according to the chairman planning committee of the reunion anniversary, Alhaji Fatal Ayoade is to give back to her alma mater which gave them the unique foundation to what individuals have achieved today.
Alhaji Ayoade affirmed that the programme of activities will commence on Friday, the 14th October 2022 with a Jumat service at Ifako Arogangan Central Mosque, Barrister Fadipe Road between 1p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
He further said that a church service will be held on Sunday 16, October 2022, the day of the anniversary at the African Church Cathedral, Elder J.K. Coker road, Ifako-Ijaye by 11:30 a.m., while a reunion get-together will be held at the Olayide Adeoluwa Multiple Purpose Main School Hall immediately after the church service.
Mubasiru Agbeniga, class governor of the set and LAFROSA National Vice-president said that the one-block of classroom will be presented to the school before the commencement of the reunion gathering. This, according to him is part of their little contributions of showing gratitude to her alma mater which firmly prepared them for the successes that individual member has recorded today in their various human endeavours.
Agbeniga added that the reunion will be a memorable event as it will be a gathering of LAFROSA Set 1982 within and outside the country, including their old school teachers, past principals, family members, LAFROSA National Exco and well-wishers.
