‘Make prayer for the nation a priority’, Kafilat Ogbara charges League of Imam as she hosts Islamic faithful in Kosofe

Membber of the Federal House of Representatives representing Kosofe at the Green Chamber,  Alhaja Adetola Ogbara has urged Islamic faithful to use the opportunity of the holy month to pray for progress and the unity of the nation.

She said this during her goodwill message at the 2024 Tefsir edition of the Kafilat Ogbara Foundation which was held at the Sheu Ribiu Adebayo Central Mosque, Oworonshoki.

The well attended event saw chairman of the league of Imam in Kosofe, Alhaji Muritador Adenummi declared the event open with  prayer after which the first lecture was  delivered by Sheik Ismael Adeyemi Kajola. The theme of  sermon was Islam, Ramadan and Mankind. He also talked about importance of love, peace and co-existence in the society during Ramadan and after Ramadan.

The second lecturer, Sheikh Abdul Raheem Bamidele who emphasizes the need to be upright in all our endeavours, urged politicians to be mindful of their social contracts with the people as the people are the reason for the emergence of the leaders. On another note, he urged other public office holders to emulate  the good virtues of Kafilat Ogbara.

The prayer session of the event was anchored and left by  Sheikh Robiu Adebayo, an Octogenarian who just turned 83.  The Sheikh prayed for the nation and also had a special prayer for the president of country,  Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the governor of Lagos,  Babajide Olusola Sanwolu.

Rounding off, several items were distributed to the people courtesy of the convener and host, Honorable Kafilat Adetola Ogbara.
