N’Delta coalition pledges support for Tinubu, defends Tompolo’s security firm
A South-South socio-political group, the Coalition of Niger Deltans for Equity and Justice, has vowed to “vote massively” to return President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress to power come 2027, noting that “the President means well for Nigeria.”
Also, the group called on Nigerians to support former Niger Delta freedom fighter, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, a.k.a Tompolo, and his firm, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited to sustain increased revenue for the nation.
These were contained in a statement signed by the group’s spokesman, Meshach Bebenimibo, copies of which were made available to journalists in Warri on Monday.
The coalition noted with delight that “the Tinubu-led administration prioritizes the development of the Niger Delta.”
It cited among others, the President’s recent assent to the Act establishing the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, as well as his support towards the fight against oil theft.
The group said, “We declare our unwavering support for the President Tinubu-led administration.
“Come 2027, we will vote massively for the APC-led administration of President Tinubu, who means well for Nigeria.
The group then described those making false and defamatory statements against Tompolo and TSSNL as “parasites, who are beneficiaries of illegal bunkering in the Niger Delta.
It added, “They are suffocating because Tantita has put an end to their illegal business in the Niger Delta region.”
The statement further added, “The ploy by such unscrupulous elements is to undermine the enormous contributions made by Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited in stabilizing and increasing oil production output to astronomical heights beyond expectation.”
The coalition maintained that “Tantita’s operations had driven out oil thieves and stopped their illicit businesses.”
It enthused, “The coalition will continue to defend Tantita, given its remarkable contributions to the region’s economic growth and increased oil production in a short period.
“We will not stand idly by while some unscrupulous elements attempt to tarnish the reputation of Tompolo and Tantita that has done so much good for our region.
“Tantita Security Services has demonstrated exceptional commitment to securing our oil infrastructure, and we will continue to support and commend their efforts.
“Tantita has created thousands of jobs for teeming unemployed youths in the Niger Delta and beyond.
“Its corporate social services have benefitted many host communities and even security agencies in the Niger Delta.
“Tantita has empowered many youths, women, and elderly in the Niger Delta. We urge all and sundry to support Tompolo and Tantita in the fight against oil bunkering and boost our oil production so that the Federal Government can carry out more infrastructural development and boost the revenue of our great nation which depends largely on crude oil.”
