Obi intolerant, blocked Labour Party from campaigning after collecting their money -Soludo

Governor Charles Soludo has described the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as intolerant of opposition parties when he was Anambra’s governor.

Mr Soludo made the claim when asked why Anambra’s signage agency pulled down the Labour Party’s billboards.

“It is on record and everybody knows that I have for two times allowed Peter Obi to use government property — Government House — for his campaign without charging him a penny,” Mr Soludo told Channels TV Thursday night.

He added, “Nobody has done that. He didn’t do that when he was governor. He didn’t even allow Labour Party to freely campaign in Anambra. He denied them the venue that they paid for. But I’ve allowed him to use the Government House twice. That’s how tolerant we are.”

Mr Soludo dismissed by Labour Party’s criticisms as “rantings,” adding that “they (Labour Party) have their billboards all over the place, but the point is when you fail to play by the rule, you put up billboards without paying, of course, the signage agency will come after you. We cannot continue to give them everything for free.”
