Commercial motorcycle riders, popularly known as Okada riders, have protested against the seizure of their motorcycles by the Lagos State Task Force Team on Friday, December 1.
The protest started after the taskforce dislodged the Okada riders and seized their bikes and took them into their van in the Alakija area of the state.
The Okada riders took to the street in response to the crackdown setting a bonfire on the road as the van carrying the seized motorcycles departed from the scene.
Policemen arrived at the scene and deployed teargas against the protesting Okada riders.
