Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the former Governor of Abia State, paid a private visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Sunday.
Kalu confirmed the meeting on his Facebook page, stating, “Tonight, I paid a private visit to His Excellency President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his residence.”
This visit comes on the heels of Kalu’s support for a motion on aviation and the nonchalant attitude of airline operators.
Notably, Kalu promised to revive SLOK Airline if the government provides support for his business.
As the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatization and Commercialization, Kalu’s discussion with President Tinubu may have touched on this topic, although neither party has publicly confirmed this.
It is also worth noting that President Tinubu and Senator Kalu have a long-standing relationship, having both served as governors in 1999.
Their friendship spans over 40 years, adding a personal dimension to their meeting.
